Donations made through Siliya Electricals support specific innovation projects, prototypes, and community-focused ideas listed on our innovations pages. Funds are allocated toward materials, testing, deployment, and project development costs unless otherwise stated on the project page.
2. Voluntary contributions
All donations are voluntary. By completing a donation, you confirm that you are giving funds freely to support the selected project or idea. Donations are not purchases of goods or services and do not guarantee delivery of a product, equity, revenue share, or financial return.
3. Payment processing
Payments are processed securely through PayChangu. Siliya Electricals does not store your full payment credentials. A transaction reference will be provided after checkout for your records.
4. Use of funds
We commit to applying donated funds toward the stated project goals, including hardware components, fabrication, field testing, software tooling, event participation, and mentor support. If a project is paused, merged, or redirected, remaining funds may be reallocated to a closely related innovation initiative with similar community impact, and we will update the project page accordingly.
5. Refunds
Because donations support ongoing development work, refunds are generally not available once payment is successfully completed. If a duplicate charge or verified processing error occurs, contact us within 14 days with your transaction reference and we will review the case.
6. Transparency and updates
Project pages may display funding progress, team members, partners, and milestones. We aim to share progress updates through our website, workshops, or direct communication where appropriate. Donation amounts may be displayed in aggregate; individual donor details are not published unless you explicitly opt in.
7. Anonymous donations
You may choose to donate anonymously. If selected, your name will not appear in public acknowledgements, though we still retain donation records internally for accounting and support purposes.
8. Tax treatment
Donations may not qualify for tax deductions unless explicitly stated under a registered programme. Donors are responsible for understanding applicable tax rules in their jurisdiction.
